Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Shahrisabz and leave the busy streets of Samarkand behind for a peaceful journey through the countryside and mountains. The road takes you past vineyards, traditional villages and scenic mountain landscapes before reaching the Takhtakaracha Pass, one of the most beautiful viewpoints along the route. It is a chance to slow down, enjoy the fresh mountain air and experience a quieter side of Uzbekistan.
Shahrisabz, the historic birthplace of Amir Timur, is home to some of the country's most remarkable architectural and cultural monuments. With your guide, explore the impressive Ak-Saray Palace, once one of the grandest architectural projects of the Timurid period, and discover the historic Dorus Saodat and Dorut Tilavat complexes, which are closely connected with the Timurid dynasty.
The local museum can also be visited as an optional stop during the tour.
The journey itself is part of the experience. At Takhtakaracha Pass, you can enjoy panoramic mountain views, fresh air and a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds of the city.
The tour usually takes around 6–7 hours . You can choose a private tour with a guide, a group tour, or a driver-only option. Private tours can also be customized according to your interests and preferred pace.
Round-trip transportation from Samarkand is provided, and bottled water is included. Lunch is not included, but a lunch stop can be arranged during the tour, which may make the total duration slightly longer.
