MrBeast in Uzbekistan 2026: Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva
MrBeast came to Uzbekistan in October 2026. What is known about his visit, and how to see Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva yourself.
In October 2026, MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), one of the YouTubers with the largest audience in the world, made his first trip to Central Asia and came to Uzbekistan. Here is what is officially known about the visit so far, and how you can see the same Silk Road cities yourself. We are a local tour operator based in Samarkand, and we will update this page when his video is published.
What we know about MrBeast's visit
- 6 October 2026: Uzbekistan's Tourism Committee announced that MrBeast would visit the country at the invitation of the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers. The announcement described the trip as a chance to show Uzbekistan's tourism and culture to an international audience. His channels have more than 500 million subscribers combined.
- 9 October 2026, Tashkent: MrBeast arrived in Tashkent, took part in a public programme, met fans and, with his team, started filming a new video. It is his first visit to Central Asia.
- From 10 October: the team planned to travel to Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. The organisers did not publish an exact schedule, to keep the filming secure.
- Samarkand: local media reported huge excitement, with crowds of children and teenagers running after the team's cars.
- 11 October 2026: MrBeast's personal visit to Bukhara and Khiva was cancelled to protect public order in the narrow streets and around the monuments. His film crew and vehicles still reached both cities and filmed at historical sites. The Bukhara police asked people not to gather because of rumours: "Mr. Beast himself has not come to Bukhara in person."
The release date of the video has not been announced. When it comes out, we will add the exact places that appear in it.
Tashkent: where the visit started
Tashkent is the capital and the arrival point for most international flights. In one day you can see the Khast-Imam complex with one of the oldest Qurans in the world, the Chorsu Bazaar, the metro stations and the modern city centre. From Tashkent the Afrosiyob high-speed train reaches Samarkand in about 2 hours 15 minutes; read our Afrosiyob train guide.
Samarkand: where the crowds gathered
Samarkand was the capital of Amir Temur and is one of the oldest cities in the world. The places every visitor should see:
- Registan Square with its three madrasas: Ulugh Beg, Sher-Dor and Tilla-Kori.
- Shah-i-Zinda, a street of blue-tiled mausoleums.
- Gur-e-Amir, the tomb of Amir Temur.
- Bibi-Khanym Mosque and the Siab Bazaar next to it.
See them with a local guide on our Samarkand City Tour. Coming from Tashkent for one day? Take the Samarkand One Day Tour from Tashkent. From Samarkand you can also cross into Tajikistan for the Seven Lakes day tour or visit Amir Temur's birthplace on the Shakhrisabz day tour.
Bukhara: the old town the cameras filmed
Bukhara is a living museum with more than 2,500 years of history. Its old centre is compact and best seen on foot: the Ark Fortress, the Po-i-Kalyan ensemble with the Kalyan Minaret, the Lyabi Hauz pond with its madrasas and teahouses, the trading domes and the Samanid Mausoleum. Join our Bukhara City Tour, or travel between Samarkand and Bukhara through the desert on the 2-day Yurt Camp and Aydarkul Lake tour.
Khiva: the walled city
Khiva's Ichan Kala is a UNESCO-listed old town inside clay walls, with the turquoise Kalta Minor minaret, the Kunya-Ark citadel and the Juma Mosque with its 213 carved wooden columns. The best way to see it is our Khiva Walking Tour with a local guide.
